Pop Powerhouse Cash Only Releases Debut Single
Philadelphia’s most energetic pop-soul band has announced its first official release, “Sleepwalk Back to You,” arriving to eager fans January 23rd, 2026. This marks Cash Only’s worldwide release on their record label of the same name. Listen here.
“I had some rough sketches of songs, and I thought Andrew could help add some horns to them,” says Sean Butkovich, the keyboardist and singer of the group. “Sleepwalk was the first song we worked on together, and was what led to us forming Cash Only. We had all this great music written, and we needed a band that was worthy of performing it.”
Beginning with a driving bassline, “Sleepwalk” instantly demands attention, and listeners are rewarded with the alluring, soulful vocals of Jackie Johnson and the punchy brass of Cash Only’s seasoned horn section. Johnson’s vocal interpretation possesses the unteachable qualities of the legends that preceded her, while delivering provocative lyrics with a modern prose. Audiences will relate to a years’ old heartache while her effortless delivery and masterful sweeping glissandos lure in even the most dubious listeners. Her lyrics describe a deep pining for an unrequited love that lingers deep into the nighttime, and even follows her in her dreams. Leaving her powerless in the face of heartbreak, she has no choice but to “Sleepwalk Back to You.”
